How to change difficulty in God of War Ragnarok

How to change difficulty in God of War Ragnarok

Changing the difficulty in God of War Ragnarok is pretty easy. Just click start and move over to settings. From here, move into the gameplay tab, where you can see "Challenge Level" at the very top. You can change difficulty here to the following settings:

• Give Me Story - the easiest setting, designed to let you get through the story unhindered
• Give Me Grace - for anyone not majorly familiar with this kind of game
• Give Me Balance - the default setting, offering a challenge but not much
• Give Me No Mercy - the highest setting you can set mid-game
• Give me God of War - hardest difficulty. Unlocked only from the start of the game. You can't swap to this midway through

You will get the choice to pick your difficulty at the very start of the game but you can change it again at any point.

Are any God of War Ragnarok trophies tied to difficulty?

As of launch, you can get every trophy in the game without putting the game on a harder difficulty. Though one might expect a gold trophy for beating the game on God of War difficulty, there isn't one.

This being said, you may still want to beat the game on the hardest difficulty for bragging rights. If so, you really have to learn how the game works.

How can I make God of War Ragnarok easier without changing difficulty?

The skills in God of War Ragnarok are invaluable. You should be investing to get a wide range of different attacks and make sure to actually use them. They will upgrade your ranged capabilities and give you a few more evasive attacks, making combat easier.

Don't hoard your fury and skills. They all fill up pretty fast and can come with a nice health boost. This being said, you should try and save your fury on big bosses for the last half of the battle as this tends to be the toughest part.
