Modern games know by now that looking cool is non-negotiable. That's why games like Ghostrunner 2, with its gorgeous neon dystopia, include a photo mode with plenty of options for players to enjoy. In this guide, we'll tell you how to use photo mode in Ghostrunner 2, and explain what each one of its options does.

Taking screenshots of regular gameplay is perfectly serviceable—consoles are consistently including capture buttons for a reason—but a screenshot taken via the print screen key just can't compare to a well-placed picture snapped with a game's photo mode.

How to access photo mode in Ghostrunner 2

To start taking pictures of the mayhem in Ghostrunner 2, you'll need to pause the game and scroll down to 'photo mode'. This option isn't available in cutscenes, but is otherwise available during gameplay when you're not hilt-deep in an enemy's neck.

There are plenty of options to enjoy in the different tabs, with the most notable broken down below.

  • Changing focus lets you move the camera at will
  • Camera roll adds a tilt to the camera
  • Depth of field will add or obscure detail from far away
  • Focal length will apply a straightforward zoom
  • Saturation will make colours more vivid
  • Gamma will make the scene brighter or darker
  • Contrast will exaggerate the lights or darkness
  • Vignette adds a dark silhouette to the screen's edges
  • Lens flare makes shiny things more exaggerated
  • Chromatic aberration adds a camera-like effect
  • Filters overlay a colour and can be reduced in intensity

When everything's how you want it to look, a button along the bottom of the screen will tell you how to hide the game's UI for an unobscured picture. You're then free to capture your masterpiece.

That's everything you need to know about Ghostrunner 2's photo mode! While you're here, check out our breakdown of the first boss fight against Ahriman.
