What is Fortnite Festival?

The game is a dedicated rhythm game built and accessed entirely from Fortnite. It's being developed by Harmonix, of Rock Band fame, so you know it'll be a fun experience.

While we know the game is going to be a rhythm game, we know very little about how deep the actual mechanics are going to be.

There is some information via reliable leakers that the game will feature its own premium battle pass separate from the main Fortnite battle pass. The first season of Fortnite Festival will be themed around The Weeknd.

Epic has explained players will be able to play solo or team with friends to rock out as a unit using "hit music from their favourite artists."

Fortnite Festival will go live on December 9. The game's first music icon that will be a part of the festivities will be none other than The Weeknd, getting his own Fortnite skin as a result.
