If you are a fan of Dead by Daylight, then one of the most exciting things to look forward to are the major content updates put out by the developers. Well, the wait for the next installment won't last too much longer, as we have details around the upcoming Dead by Daylight chapter 26 update, Forged in Fog.
This chapter update brings a terrifying new killer, a new survivor, and a new map to tie everything together. We'll go into detail about both characters, as well as the release date for the update.

When does Dead by Daylight chapter 26 release?
Dead by Daylight chapter 26 is set to release on November 22, 2022. Forged in Fog will be available on this day on Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, the Epic Games Store, Windows Store and Nintendo Switch.
There should be an update to the game on the 22nd, so be sure to check for that. Once the update is done, you should be able to get into the game and access the update.
Dead by Daylight chapter 26 characters and map
The first of the two characters that we'll talk about is the Knight which is the new killer in Chapter 26. He's quite unique in that he can summon one of three different AI controller guards to aid in his killing. He sets up one of his three guards on a patrol path, leaving a Standard Flag at the starting position. These guards can hunt and chase survivors, or damage pallets and generators.
If a guard spots a survivor, it will chase it for a set amount of time, or it will disappear if the Standard is captured by a survivor. Each guard has it's own special talents, but only one can be used at a time.
The other character that we know is coming is a survivor, Vittorio Toscano. Vittorio is a scholar is search of old forbidden knowledge. He has a storied past with the Knight, but things went south between the two. He has some interesting rune makings on his body that glow turquoise on occasion. We're not sure what that means exactly for his gameplay, but we'll have to find out when the update launches.
The new map is called The Shattered Sqaure. It's a village that has been ravaged by the Knight and his guards, and is the backdrop to the conflict between the two new characters.
