The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 reveal event countdown is catching the attention of fans waiting for more information on Modern Warfare 3 to appear. After confirming 2023's release isn't an expansion, Activision and Sledgehammer Games will unveil more through a reveal taking place inside Warzone.

Following weeks of speculation and leaks, Activision confirms the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 reveal event will take place on August 17 at 6.30 PM BST within Warzone.

Aside from the Shadow Siege name, details on what players need to do during the event remain a mystery. So far, we know players will group up into squads of four in order to complete the objective.

Once the reveal is done and dusted, attention will quickly move to the beta before the full release of Modern Warfare 3. Here are all of the important dates you need to know:

• First beta weekend - October 6-10
• Second beta weekend - October 12-16
• Campaign early access - November 2
• Full release - November 10
• Season 1 and new Warzone map - December 5
