Baldur’s Gate 3 Wrath explained

Wrath is one of many equipment features in Baldur's Gate 3. It can be used to increase your character's strength, damage output, and survivability. The game has two types of Wrath: an equipment feature and a status effect.

In Baldur's Gate 3, equipment features refer to the unique benefits or conditions of using specific items.

These benefits are passive and can assist you in combat. They don't require any energy to activate and are only triggered when specific conditions are met.

The equipment feature Wrath provides a +1 bonus to melee damage, as adrenaline rushes through the character's veins, aiding them in combat. The status effect Wrath increases the character's Strength by four but decreases their AC by two.

Both forms of Wrath are beneficial, but they work in different ways. Wrath (equipment feature) is a permanent bonus that can be stacked with other bonuses, while Wrath (status effect) is a temporary buff with a limited duration.

How is Wrath provided in Baldur's Gate 3?

To acquire the desired equipment feature, you must equip the corresponding item (whether weapon, armour, or accessory). In this case, Wrath can be acquired by wearing the following pieces of equipment:

Cap of Wrath

The Cap of Wrath is a helmet that can be found in Grymforge. While in combat, if an opponent hits the wearer, then the wearer will be provided with Wrath for one turn. Remember, with each blow, the wearer's vision will also narrow, making the battle more difficult.

Bloodguzzler Garb

The Bloodguzzler Garb is a type of armour found in Underdark. It will grant the wearer Armor Class (AC) and occasional special effects. If the wearer's HP drops to 50% or less at the start of their turn during combat, then they gain Wrath for one turn.

Linebreaker Boots

You can find these boots in Shattered Sanctum. They offer various effects like improved Saving Throws or Advantages on specific attacks. When the wearer performs a Dash or similar action in combat, then they gain Wrath for three turns.

So, that's all you need to know about the Wrath feature in Baldur's Gate 3. Remember to effectively and strategically utilise the equipment feature to gain advantages during combat, whether you're attempting to reach Baldur’s Gate 3 max level, or playing Baldur’s Gate 3 solo.
