GTA Online Cheat Maker Shut Down After "Discussions" With Take-Two

GTA Online cheat maker and distributor LunaCheats has been shut down.

As reported by Eurogamer, LunaCheats have had "discussions" with Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two, which likely equates to the threat of legal action.

GTA Online Cheat Maker Shut Down After "Discussions" With Take-Two

LunaCheats has left a statement on its website, confirming that its cheat menu services will be unavailable henceforth.

“After discussions with Take-Two Interactive, we are immediately ceasing all maintenance, development, and distribution of our cheat menu services,” the message reads.

“We will also be donating our proceeds to a charity designated by Take-Two."

“We apologize for any and all problems our software has caused to the GTA Online community.”

Rockstar has been clamping down on cheaters for years, but the issue has been almost constant since GTA Online's launch.

Players can not only add new items and cash to their in-game inventory, but often cause plenty of misery for other, non-cheating players, too.

Still, this is the latest salvo in an ongoing war against cheaters.

In October, Bungie shut down PerfectAim's line of Destiny 2 hacks.

Mediatonic, on the other hand, started placing Fall Guys cheaters in servers with other cheaters.
