Ghostrunner 2: News, Platforms, Gameplay, And Everything We Know.

While we're waiting on news about Ghostrunner's upcoming Summer and Fall updates, publishers 505 Games are looking beyond your normal DLC cycle. Having purchased the IP rights back in March, they've just confirmed a sequel to last year's surprise hit is on its way.

Co-developed by One More Level and 3D Realms, we played as Jack the Ghostrunner in a cyberpunk action platformer, set around Dharma Tower. Offering a tough but stylish experience, we've got plenty to look forward to, and here's everything we know so far.

Latest News

505 Games Announce Ghostrunner 2 - May 13 - Taking to Twitter for this announcement, 505 Games revealed that One More Level have begun developing Ghostrunner 2, citing the success of the original game.

Platforms

Ghostrunner 2 is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. As such, this sequel won't join its predecessor on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Gameplay

We don't have specific details at this time, but it's hard to imagine Ghostrunner 2 straying particularly far from the original's premise.

As Jack, we traversed difficult environments through dashing, jumping, wall-running, and grappling. Upon encountering enemies, they could take down Jack with one hit (and vice versa), but he could also use Sensory Boost to slow down time, dodging/deflecting bullets midair.

Release Date

This remains unconfirmed presently and we don't even have a vague release window. With Ghostrunner's DLC still in the works, it could be that 505 Games are waiting for its completion before offering more details.

Trailer

So far, 505 Games hasn't released a trailer for the upcoming sequel. We'll update this as/when they do.
