Genshin Impact Matsutake is an item used in some recipes, and even though cooking is all you'll use Matsutake for, the recipes it goes with are some of the most helpful in combat.
Finding it is fairly easy, as Matsutake is scattered generously throughout the Mondstadt region
You'll typically find Matsutake beneath trees, and some players have the best luck checking underneath pine trees.
Matsutake look noticeably different from regular mushrooms, so you'll know it when you see it.
Still, as with any resource in Genshin Impact, we recommend putting a pin in some of the spots that aren’t too far away from your usual haunts.
The reset rate is longer than the usual daily reset, so if you need a lot of Matsutake for mass cooking, plan on exploring the wild for a while.
Fortunately, most of the Matsutake spots are close together.

If you don't feel like exploring, you can purchase Matsutake from two vendors.
The first is Chef Mao in Liyue Harbor, and the second is Verr Goldet at the Wangshu Inn.
Matustake resets 48 hours after you pick it, much like most other rare plants.
Matsutake is an ingredient in the following:
- Matsutake Meat Rolls (restores health)
- Sauteed Matstake (increases attack)
- Adeptus' Temptation (increases attack and critical rate)
- Tianshu Meat (greatly increases physical damage and critical rate)
- Vegetarian Abalone (revives character and restores 400 HP)
- Stone Harbor Delicacies (increases critical rate by 9%)
