Childe is an Elite Boss of the Liyue region, located under the instanced dungeon "Enter The Golden House" in Mt. Tianheng, Sea of Clouds, Liyue. This fight is unlocked after completing the Archon Quest Chapter 1, Act 3 - “A New Star Approaches”.

Players can relive the fight they had with Childe to receive rewards in a boss fight, and after it’s defeated, the player must consume 30 Original Resin to claim his drops, which consist of various Artifacts and Ascension Materials for several different characters. Keep in mind, you can only collect rewards once per week.

Riptide (Hydro): Any kind of connecting attack will mark the player with Riptide. Riptide will result in additional AoE Hydro damage effects when attacked by Childe. The mark can be purged by touching the arena's barrier, resulting in a slight Vaporize reaction that deals no damage to the player.

Hydro Shield: Creates a Hydro shield that blocks damage up to a certain extent and sometimes acts as a counter. Childe will follow up with a slash attack.

Hydro Counter: Shoots out a Hydro blast in front of him, dealing high damage towards the player. This triggers if Childe gets hit by any Hydro attacks while his Hydro Shield is up.

Solo (Hydro): Childe does one charged slash attack.

Childe - Fight Strategy

For this fight, Pyro and Cryo Main DPS are recommended since they’re good against both Childe’s elements. Eula, Diluc, Ganyu, Klee, any of those will help, Xiao too, and Qiqi, Diona Bennett, and Jean are especially useful as support or sub DPS units. Avoid Barbara, since, while her healing is great, applying Wet to yourself it’s not a good thing to do, especially in later stages in the fight.
