Disconnecting from a Warzone match in the heat of battle is far from ideal, especially in matches where teamwork is the key to success. Without any way to rejoin the action, players are left waiting for their squadmates to return to the main menu.
As the battle royale approaches the launch of Season 5, the community continues to suggest new innovations that would significantly improve the game. On some occasions, Raven Software takes the suggestions on board much to the delight of fans.
To improve the game even further, one player suggests the addition of a reconnect feature that enables players to rejoin matches if they encounter a game crash or an untimely disconnection.
Warzone needs a reconnect feature
Instead of players having to wait for a game to finish before dropping into the action again, Reddit user “_NRGY_” suggests a “simple reconnect feature” that would address any kind of frustrating disconnections.

“So frustrating having a teammate who disconnects mid-game and cannot rejoin,” says the user.
Other players in the comments approve of the idea, citing other battle royales such as Apex Legends which already have a reconnect feature. “When I started playing Apex and found out this was a thing I was so stoked,” reveals one user. Another commenter says “every game needs this,” when there are factors that result in untimely departures from matches.
A quads match with a team of three is hugely frustrating for those still in the game and for the one player that has to wait until the rest of the team finishes the match. Having an option that allows the player to rejoin their squad is a huge quality-of-life update that could make its way to Warzone 2. However, the chances of the feature appearing in the current version of the game are slim.
On the other hand, Raven Software’s track record of listening to community feedback and applying changes to the game is impressive.
