Is the Warzone 2 TTK too inconsistent?

Ensuring there’s some level of consistency in Warzone 2 is a tricky task. With numerous weapons to choose from and balancing causing the meta to shift on a regular basis, discrepancies are bound to slip through the net.

With Season Two of Call of Duty’s battle royale in full swing, players dropping into Al Mazrah and Ashika Island are starting to notice issues with the game’s time to kill (TTK). Despite attempts to slow the Warzone 2 TTK, it’s very easy to take down an opponent in a few tenths of a second.

TTK should remain consistent across every match taking place, but players are starting to notice major inconsistencies with it following the most recent seasonal update.

Warzone 2 inconsistencies are ruining matches

According to Reddit use pleomax_b, there are several occasions where the TTK feels faster than it did before any buffs and nerfs were implemented. “The TTK at times seems faster than S1 but it feels at times you get no reaction time and you die in 2 frames.”

“The game just feels strange and very inconsistent,” says the player. It turns out they’re not the only ones that are noticing differences in TTK. “I’ll be beaming someone with hit markers and barely break plates only to die in a split second,” reports another.

Warzone 2 heavily relies on tweaking weapon performance to maintain some kind of balance across the entire arsenal. Instead of changing the damage outputs of each gun every season, one member of the community suggests a simpler solution to rectify any inconsistency with the TTK. “Increase the damn base health by 50 already,” says one player.

Infinity Ward and Raven Software are constantly listening to player feedback and considering the Pacific era of Warzone saw a health increase to combat an inconsistent TTK, there’s every possibility the developer applies the change if the community continues to notice Warzone 2 feeling different than usual.
