A new trailer for The Wayward Realms, spiritual successor to Bethesda’s acclaimed The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, has just been released. Dubbed “A Lullaby,” it promises plenty of sinister things for this upcoming open-world fantasy RPG.
Releasing another cinematic trailer (credit to TheGamer), developers Once Lost Games, showcased some landscapes, a tomb, and a creepy-looking warrior sitting on a throne. While this didn't showcase any gameplay, we got an idea of what to expect inside this world.
Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall Spiritual Successor, The Wayward Realms, Gets New Trailer
Development is led by Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay, two veteran developers who worked on The Elder Scrolls: Arena and Daggerfall. Upon its announcement last year, Once Lost Games confirmed their aim is to bring "modern development standards and quality-of-life advancements to the design philosophy of classic role-playing games."
Unfortunately, much like The Elder Scrolls VI, there's still no release window for The Wayward Realms right now, so it appears that fans are in for a long wait. It's hard to predict when we'll learn more, though we'll keep you informed with further news.
