Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League continues to be under scrutiny, with many fans once again being reminded that it’s a live-service game that wants your money. As expected, the game is going to launch with several skins that fans can pay for if they aren’t satisfied with the default costumes.
One fan tried to point out that the DC shooter has “fairly priced” microtransactions, claiming that three outfits for $10 or $11 are fair. This post has since come under fire by many, with YouTuber MightyKeef pointing out that full-priced games have no justification to make players pay for these cosmetics.
A few Suicide Squad fans have tried to argue with MightyKeef, claiming that these are “just cosmetics” and that they’re normal for live-service games. It seems that there are fans who are used to paying for unlockables now, as microtransactions and DLC have been the norm for a good number of years.
While $10 to $11 for three or more costumes might sound like a ripoff to most people, the sad reality is that other game companies have charged more for them. Games like Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, Overwatch 2, and so much more have charged players more for similar cosmetics. That doesn’t justify the price of these cosmetics, rather, it’s just a lesser evil when compared to other companies.
Even with more affordable cosmetics, it seems most fans are down on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for one reason or another. Story spoilers have soured many on the game and are making fans praise Gotham Knights, of all things. The gameplay looks fine enough but the fact each character is a similar gun user doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence.

Fans only have to wait a few more days before they can pick up Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The live-service DC shooter is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on February 2.
