Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Announced for Consoles and PC

THQ Nordic unveiled a brand-new Spongebob game during the publisher's 10th anniversary showcase, Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. There's currently no estimated release date for The Cosmic Shake.

The new Spongebob platformer sees the iconic sponge, Patrick, Sandy, Mrs. Puff, and more travel across dimensions into Wishworlds, areas inspired by numerous Spongebob episodes, from the Krabby Patty enthusiast's brief stint as a singer to his time in prehistory, and more.

He'll draw on costumes for his powers, including classics such as the karate strike and several new abilities.

SpongeBob and Patrick meet the mysterious fortune teller Kassandra who gives them a vial full of Mermaid’s Tears. Legend claims they grant the wishes of those who are pure of heart…
Naturally, the two best buddies get overexcited and their flurry of wishes tears open the very fabric of space and time. All while releasing Cosmic Jelly© onto Bikini Bottom and opening portals to strange Wishworlds in the process.
Now it’s up to our heroes to rescue their friends who got lost in the Wishworlds and bring back Bikini Bottom’s most iconic buildings.
But Kassandra has her own devious plan…
