Quake's Anniversary Edition Receives PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Update

A new update has gone live for Quake's 25th anniversary Enhanced Edition, which previously released last August.

Dubbed as a "next-gen" update, that provides native editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players, bringing in a maximum of 4K resolution and 120fps support. If you previously bought it on Xbox One or PS4, you can claim that for free.

Within this update, Xbox Play Anywhere support is up for Series X|S players, while PS5 users can now benefit from DualSense Adaptive Trigger and integrated speaker support. A part of Bethesda's official statement confirms:

We are excited to launch Quake on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. Anyone who purchased Quake on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 is eligible for a free next-gen upgrade on the same console family. The next-gen versions are also available for direct digital purchase from next-gen platforms on the (Xbox) Microsoft Store and the PlayStation Store. Additionally, free upgrades are available to Xbox Game Pass members who have the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S

The Quake 25th-anniversary enhanced edition was released two months ago. That included the original game and four expansions: The Scourge of Armagon, Dissolution of Eternity, Dimensions of the Past and the Dimension of the Machine.
