In a rare move from Atlus, the company is allowing players to stream Persona 3 Reload to its completion without any major consequences. The company is notorious for telling gamers not to stream games past a certain point, even newer ports of old games, so this is a refreshing move.
On the game’s Japanese website, streaming guidelines for the upcoming remake were shown to the public, with many bracing themselves for the usual Atlus rhetoric. Surprisingly enough, the guidelines allow players to stream the whole game as long as they mark certain parts with a spoiler tag.
Another guideline that’s slightly tricker is how these Persona 3 Reload streams are only allowed for personal and non-commercial use. While the main page does allow posting on video sites, it looks like streaming on Twitch might not be a viable method for some.
Even with that, this is a pretty big departure from the Atlus of old who wouldn’t let streamers spoil games that are more than a decade old. The company told players not to stream past a certain point when Switch copies of Persona 5 Royal came out. Keep in mind that the Switch port of Persona 5 Royal came out in 2022, two years after the original Royal game and seven years after the vanilla release of Persona 5.
Luckily, it won’t be long before fans have Persona 3 Reload in their hands, as the highly-anticipated remake is coming to stores next week. Based on the videos released, this is a remake that will make fans happy, as it keeps most of the story intact while also taking elements from Persona 5’s gameplay.
The only disappointing aspect about Reload is that it’s not coming to Nintendo Switch, despite demand for previous games in this series. Recent rumours have led us to believe that Reload could end up becoming a Switch 2 launch title but we’ll wait and see.

Persona 3 Reload is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC on February 2. Game Pass subscribers will automatically get the remake as part of their subscription.
