Modders on PC are constantly changing up the protagonist of games in order to make things a little more surreal and amusing.

No matter whether it’s Sonic or Morbius in Skyrim, Mario and Luigi in Elden Ring or Master Chief in Yakuza Zero, these mods are always fun, and now that Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered has made its way onto the cursed platform, it’s become a part of the trend.

After all, who wants to play as Peter Parker when you can grapple your way through the high rises of New York as everyone’s favourite frog?

Get ready to stop people from Kermitting crimes!

The mod in question is called ‘Kermit The Frog’ and is the work of modder TangoTeds, whose previous work has added a few different Spider-Man suit options to the game.

Now, though, they’ve attracted a lot of attention on social media by providing a means for the loveable Muppet to become more of a meme than he already was, swinging through the streets of New York in surprisingly graceful style, as you can see in the video below:

Sadly, if you’re desperate to share in the sheer joy of this clip, you’ll have to say goodbye to the game’s advanced suit, as this is what the Kermit model replaces.

On the other hand, if you consider yourself too much of a hardcore gamer to play as a children’s show character, a couple of alternative skins inspired by characters from other games have also been released recently.

The first of these is R4v3nB14ck’s ‘Big Smoke Suit’, which allows you to order up a dish of GTA San Andreas’ chubby icon with the aid of jedijosh920’s ‘Spider-Man PC Modding Tool’.

The second is one for Halo fans, with Spike25512’s ‘Play As Halo 3 Master Chief’ doing exactly what it says on the tin.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking to get a glimpse of the real-life celebrity lifestyle, huckleberrypie’s ‘Ozzy Osbourne’ will give you the chance to step into the shoes of the Black Sabbath lead singer, who would arguably be a better stand-in for the dark and brooding Batman.

So, dust off your super suit, get ready for some surreal swinging, and make sure to follow us for more updates on the wacky worlds of Fallout and Skyrim modding.
