Information on Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer remains slim even with numerous leaks reportedly revealing all kinds of features Infinity Ward is working on. As the October release date nears, the developer is providing content creators and sports teams with an early look at the game.
With Infinity Ward’s main studio based in Los Angeles, the LA Rams NFL team is the latest batch of sports stars to play the game ahead of the start of the NFL season.
Rather than keeping their visit ahead of the game's release date a secret, several players shared various images of the game and gameplay clips much to the excitement of the community.
LA Rams leak Modern Warfare 2 screenshots
The Rams’ Cameron Dicker shared a screenshot of him waiting to jump into a match, revealing the first look at the pre-game lobby. Alongside the tabs confirming the return of Operators, the image reveals Valderas Museum as one of the maps.
In addition to showcasing one of the maps, the screenshot also confirms the return of CODCaster, the broadcast tool used to navigate a competitive Call of Duty match. This is great news for competitive fans as some begin to wonder if ranked play will arrive at launch.
Dicker wasn’t the only player to post Modern Warfare 2 screenshots. Quentin Lake uploaded a video showcasing several seconds of gameplay before removing it from his Instagram story. However, those that saw it before it disappeared saw details seemingly confirming DMZ mode will appear alongside multiplayer. Rumours suggest DMZ is an extraction mode similar to Escape from Tarkov.
