Great Houses of Calderia is Game of Thrones Meets Crusader Kings

Resistance Games and Firesquid announced Great Houses of Calderia is entering early access in spring 2022. Great Houses of Calderia is a spin on the grand strategy formula where you’ll do all things you’d expect, from backstabbing politics to carefully planned espionage and alliances, but it’s personal in Great Houses - literally.

The scions of your house are both pawns in your schemes and complex characters in their own right. Unique character traits influence how they carry out your plans, but, as with any family, you can’t control what your relatives do, no matter how powerful you are. Family members will act according to their natures and their own plans during important events, and it won’t always go according to plan.

It takes careful management and strategy - and plenty of it. You’re in charge of everything from deciding who marries whom to which houses you think might make good trading partners, and, of course, how to wage war when negotiations inevitably go sour.

Family member traits and skills change over time, along with the temperaments of your allies and enemies, so Great Houses of Calderia isn’t a grand strategy game where you can coast through on a single strategy and expect to succeed.

Politics and intrigue are just one part of your family’s life. Calderia itself is full of secrets to uncover when you have spare time and a willing relative to investigate.

You’ll get a chance to explore all this and more when Great Houses of Calderia enters early access sometime in the first half of 2022 on Steam.
