Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming out later this month, but fans are already going crazy over the game thanks to the recent State of Play and its demo. What’s also getting people buzzing was the end of the presentation, which revealed that Rebirth won’t be a PlayStation exclusive for long.

As pointed out by The Gamer, the end of the presentation revealed that Rebirth wouldn’t be available on other systems until “at least” May 29. That’s a short exclusive period, especially when compared to Remake, which had a full year of exclusivity before coming to PC.

Given how short the exclusivity is, it will be interesting to see if Final Fantasy VII Rebirth ends up coming to other systems sooner or later. It wouldn’t be too shocking to see Rebirth on PC this year, especially since Remake Intergrade is already on the platform.

While it would make sense to see the game hit other platforms after May 29, keep in mind that Final Fantasy VII Remake is still not on Xbox platforms. That could change in the future, with rumours of Remake being a launch title for Switch 2, which might lead to an Xbox release. Of course, this is just speculation but anything is possible these days.

Regardless of whether it coming to other systems or not, the main takeaway from the State of Play is that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is going to be packed with content. The presentation showed fans an expanded version of Fort Condor from Intergrade, new costumes for Tifa and Aerith, team-up attacks, and so much more. Fans are also curious about the changes made, with many fans speculating that someone else could die instead of Aerith, which would be the ultimate twist.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming to PlayStation 5 later this month, on February 29. Based on the wording in the end, we could see ports come to other systems after May 29, with PC being the most likely candidate.
