Many fighting game developers often have new announcements at major tournaments and EVO 2021 is no exception. The developers often have surprises at the end of the tournaments which are mostly new content for these titles. Here are some of the games who may get new characters, features, patch updates, and even a new content roadmap that players can look forward to.
Guilty Gear Strive
Arc System Works has yet to put out a new announcement about the next content that'll arrive on Guilty Gear Strive. However, the content roadmap for Guilty Gear Strive confirms that there will be a new character to be added this August 2021.
The only clue for this second DLC character will be a returning character from a previous Guilty Gear entry. At best, this upcoming DLC will be a familiar face for the older fans. Potentially, we may also hear information about the next three DLC characters in this announcement. We may get the info on or before August 15 which is the last day of the EVO 2021 Online Series this month.
According to the official Bandai Namco Twitter page, a new DBFZ show will go live this August 9 12:00 PDT. The post didn't say any details about the upcoming announcements yet. However, many fans and players are looking forward to another set of updates that'll shake up the meta of the Dragonball FighterZ fighting game moving forward.
If ever they get lucky, another season of new Dragonball FighterZ DLC characters could be released too.
As of now, Tekken 7 has got its final content, Lidia Sobieska, for its Season 4 updates this 2021. Players currently have nothing to look forward to but may enjoy the tournament support in this game. Potentially, we may get news for a next Season 5, new Tekken entry, or even just another major patch.
For now, we'll have to wait for more updates on these three games to see if there are any surprises coming from its developers.
