Epic Games Store Will Launch Its Achievements System Next Week

The Epic Games Store's achievement system is finally ready to roll out. Epic Games announced that they will officially launch the Epic Achievements system with support for an initial handful of games and continued support for developer achievements.

Players collect XP by completing certain objectives in supported games to unlock achievements, and unlike most achievement systems, this one calculates your current level based on points earned.

The new system will be classified into four tiers - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each of these has a corresponding amount of XP that players will earn whenever they achieve something in playing a specific video game. You can track your progress through the Achievements page on supported games.

Epic Games Store Will Launch Its New Achievements System Next Week

Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Zombie Army 4, and Alan Wake Remastered will support Epic Achievements at launch, though the Fortnite maker said it will add more games in the coming months.

Existing developer achievements will still remain on your account if you have them, and they'll remain integrated in the game even after Epic Achievements launch.

The new system will be implemented the week of October 11, although there's no specific time or date when it will happen just yet.
