The Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC could be closer than fans expect, as according to leakers, the long-awaited expansion might be released this upcoming June.
On February 20, Bandai Namco blindsided fans with news about a gameplay trailer set to release just a day later. While this is exciting on its own, reliable source Billbil_kun gave fans some juicy details about the expansion.
According to Billbil_kun's findings, the Elden Ring DLC is set to drop on June 21. Bandai Namco is planning on releasing two new versions of Elden Ring, both including the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
These are
- Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree GOTY edition: €79.99
- Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree – Collector's Edition : €259.99
Billbil mentioned that physical copies of the GOTY edition will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Meanwhile the Collector's Edition will also add a PC physical version.
Of course, new special editions of Elden Ring coming at a certain date does not necessarily mean the DLC will drop alongside them. Shadow of the Erdtree could very well be released beforehand.
The gameplay trailer has the potential to clear all the mystery surrounding the DLC. Luckily we won't have to wait too long, as the gameplay reveal will happen on February 21 at 7:00 AM PST/3:00 PM GMT.
It will be short and sweet according to Bandai, with the video presentation lasting around three minutes. So, if you were in North America and had plans of waking up early for the Nintendo Direct, now you have another reason to.
Shadow of the Erdtree was first announced back in February 2023, with fans out of the loop since then. Hopefully, the gameplay showcase delivers the goods and a release date confirmation follows.
