EA has confirmed that a game-breaking glitch in EA Sports FC 24 known as the 'calf dribble' is under investigation. The exploit has been ruining the game at higher levels of play for the past few days, infuriating players.

The calf dribble exploit allows players to stick the ball to a player's calf using a series of inputs. This makes it impossible for the offending player to be tackled by an opponent, and a minority of players have been using the glitch to run the ball into their opponent's nets.

Example of the "calf-dribble" exploit

Over the last week, the calf dribble exploit has been shared widely over social media, most notably on TikTok and X, formerly known as Twitter. A growing number of EA Sports FC 24 players have started to use the glitch in online games. Now, EA has finally recognised the issue and has confirmed it's working towards a solution.

Players have been less than impressed with the amount of time EA has taken to acknowledge the glitch. Many reacted to the tweet that highlighted the calf dribble bug by expressing their frustration with the amount of times they've experienced the bug, and wondering why it has taken EA so long to address the issue.

Moreover, EA's acknowledgment of the exploit has also come too late for some, as the popular Weekend League mode on Ultimate Team arrives this weekend. With no fix in sight for the bug, players will likely have to contend with even more opponents exploiting the calf dribble, following EA's announcement that they're looking into it.

Hopefully, EA's investigation into the calf dribble glitch is concluded swiftly. In the meantime, however, many players will be hoping EA's decision to explicitly point out the calf dribble to players won't lead to more players using the exploit for themselves.
