Verdansk is coming back to Warzone, according to leaks

For those newer to Call of Duty and Warzone, Verdansk is a truly iconic Warzone map. Themed after the fictional city from Modern Warfare's campaign, many have fond memories of Verdansk, with the game arguably being at its peak in popularity. The prospect of its return will stir nostalgic memories for many players.

In tweets between the Toronto Ultra Warzone content creator, Metaphor, and a prolific Call of Duty leaker, it was claimed that Verdansk will be making its Warzone return on March 10, 2024.

Although a specific date has been put on Verdansk's re-release, there's not yet been any confirmation from Activision or Sledgehammer games. Whether the leak is legitimate remains to be seen.

A March 10 release would mark the 4 year anniversary of Warzone's initial release, making it a fitting time for Verdansk to be reinstated.

Some fans have speculated that Verdansk would be making a mobile only return, but with the map's popularity its likely that it would be considered for release on PC and consoles.

Lots of Call of Duty is planned for the future, with the news that Activision have new Call of Duty titles planned until 2027. With Modern Warfare 3's release coming up soon, it might be some time before we're able to properly verify Verdansk's return.
