The popular SMG, the AK74u, has been integrated into Warzone.
This compact sub-machine gun causes havoc in the multiplayer portion of the game, but how does it fare in the Battle Royale?
Season 2 is fast approaching and there's plenty of changes that could see it become a go-to choice.
Here are the best attachments for the AK74u in Warzone.
Arguably one of the strongest SMGs that has been added to Warzone, the AK-74u is incredibly easy to control thanks to its steady rate of fire and moderate levels of recoil.
With no attachments equipped, the damage drop-off at long distances is profound, but with a clever combination of attachments, the damage range can be improved exponentially, making the AK a solid weapon of choice in close and mid-range gunfights.
It’s very easy to get confused as to what attachments you should choose in the Gunsmith, so we’ve spent some time to find the perfect combination.
Ak-74u Best Attachments
- Spetsnaz Compensator (Muzzle)
- 8.4” Rifled (Barrel)
- No Stock (Stock)
- Spetsnaz 50 Rnd Drum (Ammunition)
- Patrol Grip (Underbarrel)
Although the AK-74u is already a mobile weapon, this set of attachments further increases the mobility, enabling you to dominate any close-quarters engagements with ease.
The compensator brings the recoil down to minimal levels, making the SMG even easier to use while the barrel provides an increase in damage range, allowing the weapon to be effective at longer distances.
The selection of a large magazine is a no-brainer. With more bullets, you spend less time reloading and more time scoring kills!
- Compensator (Muzzle)
- XRK V Extended (Barrel)
- Sleight of Hand (Perk)
- Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
- Lightweight Trigger (Trigger Action)
An SMG/pistol combination is a strange one to go with in Warzone, but with several buildings in Verdansk and Rebirth Island, it is very easy to acquire a weapon that performs better at range.
By selecting the M19, it will be very tricky for an opponent to take you down in a close-range duel so move through the buildings and clear them out.
- Semtex (Lethal)
- Heartbeat Sensor (Tactical)
With a lack of range, utilising the Semtex is the ideal choice to deal extra damage. Throw it in the vicinity of an opponent and if you get a hit-marker, rush them and slay them with the AK-74u.
Breaching a building without knowing what could be on the other side of the door is an extremely risky tactic. Use the heartbeat sensor before entering to determine what could be awaiting your entrance.
- EOD (Perk 1)
- Hardline (Perk 2)
- Spotter (Perk 3)
EOD increases your resistance to any enemy lethal equipment that heads your way while Hardline gives you a 25% discount on killstreaks, field upgrades, and armour plates. Who doesn’t love a discount?!
The last Perk we selected is Spotter. This Perk gives you the ability to see any enemy equipment, field upgrades and killstreaks through walls. This should prevent you from being caught out by a proximity mine or a claymore.
