The latest season of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Mobile has gone live across the globe.

Season One: The New Order brings a range of new content to the immensely popular mobile title, including new maps, game modes, cosmetic items, and new additions to the weapon arsenal.

After being teased before the new season went live, the FR .556 is one of two new weapons making their debut in COD Mobile.

Based on the iconic FAMAS assault rifle that has featured in several Call of Duty titles, the FR .556 burst rifle could well impact the metagame thanks to its impressive performances in a match.

After a bit of time testing out numerous attachment combinations, what exactly is the best FR .556 loadout to use?

Fr .556 Assault Rifle

Unlocked by reaching Tier 21 in the Season One Battle Pass, the FR .556 is armed with a high damage output and fast rate of fire, the rifle excels in mid-range combat, giving players the ability to eliminate an opponent with just a couple of bursts.

The fast rate of fire does cause some recoil that can prove tricky to control in some in-game scenarios but with the right set of attachments, this can be bought down to much more manageable levels.

FR .566 Best Attachments

• MIP Light Barrel Short (Barrel)
• OWC Laser – Tactical (Laser)
• Strike Foregrip (Underbarrel)
• Fast Reload (Ammunition)
• Granulated Grip Tape (Rear Grip)

This particular combination of attachments is ideal for roaming the map and slaying any opposition that stands in your way.

The increases in mobility and aim down sight speed enable you to outmanoeuvre an enemy during a gunfight alongside being able to snap onto the target with ease. The boost drastically improves reaction time, allowing you to make an impact in close-quarters combat where the FR .556 is up there with the likes of the Cordite and the HG-40.

Secondary Weapon

This quick-firing pistol is the perfect crutch to fall back on if there are any instances of the FR .556 running out of ammunition.

Thanks to its semi-automatic firing mechanism, it is easy to tap the screen and eliminate an opponent before they have a chance to react.

As one of the most versatile pieces of utility within COD Mobile, a perfectly cooked frag grenade is difficult to avoid, making it an ideal piece of lethal equipment to score some additional kills during a match.

Concussion Grenade

It can be easy to miss the opening shots when using the FR .556, making the concussion grenade your new best friend on the battlefield.

Before engaging with a target, throw the grenade in the vicinity of the opponent to slow their movement. This gives you plenty of time to take aim and score the kill before they get an opportunity to fight back.

Perks

• Dead Silence

This combination of Perks is perfect when rushing around the map. Lightweight increases sprinting speed by an additional 10% while Toughness reduced flinch when under fire by 60%, giving you the perfect chance to fight back.

The last Perk we selected is Dead Silence. Having the ability to move around the map without any opponents hearing your footsteps is ideal when attempting to get behind enemy lines.
