The very first season of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is right around the corner.
To prepare the fifth instalment of the Black Ops series for one of the largest drops of content ever seen in the franchise, developer Treyarch has launched an update that has made several changes to various elements of the game.
Patch 1.08 implements changes to various weapons in the arsenal, Perks, adds the H.A.R.P Scorestreak and more.
Although Treyarch has yet to release official patch notes, several players have noted down many of the changes that have been made since the update went live.
Here are all the changes that we know of so far.

Weapons
One of the main concerns of Black Ops Cold War during the pre-season was the lack of weapon balance.
Patch 1.08 addresses this issue by making changes to several weapons.
- AUG: Minor damage nerf – 54 -> 51
- M60: ADS time reduction – 700ms -> 600ms
- Gallo SA12: Fire rate nerf – 212rpm -> 189rpm
- FFAR: Range buff – 25.4m -> 38.1m
- Milano 821: Range buff – 12.7m -> 15.4m
- KSP 45: Range buff – 11.4m -> 15.24m
- M79 Special Weapon has been buffed
Maps
Season One will see several maps arriving to the game.
Before players get stuck into the action, there have been several improvements made to the spawns to maps already present in the game.
Perks
Flak Jacket has been nerfed
During pre-season, many players saw Flak Jacket as extremely overpowered as it allowed players to resist a War Machine and even a launcher at close-quarters.
Patch 1.08 has reduced the effectiveness of Flak Jacket.
It isn’t just Flak Jacket that has received changes. Ninja is no longer resistant to the Field Mic Field Upgrade while Spycraft now provides resistance to the Field Upgrade.
Scorestreaks & Field Upgrades
After the H.A.R.P Scorestreak was discovered within the game files before this update went live, it has now been added into the game and is available to use. It costs 6000 score to earn.
The Field Mic Field Upgrade has also received a change. The cooldown timer has been increased from three minutes 15 seconds to three minutes 30 seconds.
