Fortnite Update Today (16 September): Latest Patch Notes & Changes Confirmed

Fortnite Season 8 has been off to a flying start and most fans are overjoyed by everything on offer. However, along with update 18.00, a bunch of bugs and glitches managed to creep into the game.

Fortunately, Epic Games has recently released a maintenance patch to address all of these existing bugs and glitches.


Let's dive in and take a look at the changes being implemented by the new update.

When is the update available?

The maintenance patch released on 16th September is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Android platforms. However, the update is expected to be released very soon for Nintendo Switch as well as Xbox platforms.

Changes in 16th September Fortnite update

According to the official release from Epic Games, the new update will address three major issues in Fortnite Season 8.


These changes include:

  • Fixed stability issues
  • Fixed the Funding Progress visual issue
  • Fixed the issue with Creative keybinds resetting

How to install the update

Players on platforms where the update has already released can simply update their game by simply trying to launch the game. The update will download and install automatically before Fortnite launches.
