Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy Headed To Fortnite

UPDATE:

And it's now official, Aloy has been confirmed in a post over on the PlayStation blog.

Along with the character skin, there's also a Blaze Canister back bling, Glinthawk Glider and Pickaxe modelled on Aloy's spear. Each item - along with the Heart-rizon emote - will be available individually, but if you purchase the bundle you'll also receive the Aloy the Skywatcher Loading Screen as a little bonus.

PlayStation players who purchase the bundle will also receive an additional bonus Ice Hunter Aloy skin, based on the Banuk Ice Hunter outfit from Horizon Zero Dawn.

The bundle will be available on the April 15th, but PS4 and PS5 players will have the opportunity to nab it a day early if they take part in the Aloy Cup scheduled for the 14th April.

The duos tournament will award the top performing teams in each region the bundle before it hits the item shop. Extra points will be earned by getting eliminations with a bow during the ten permitted matches during the tournament's three hour window.

Finally, a limited time duos mode will run from April 16th to April 18th, entitled Team Up! Aloy & Lara. Participants will automatically be outfitted as either Aloy or Lara Croft, with their teammate playing as the other. You'll be limited to bows if you're playing as the Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist, or dual pistols if you're taking control of the Tomb Raider.

UPDATE:

Looks like Aloy is coming very soon, as her skin can be seen here (thanks, Hypex!):

Original Story Follows:

Dataminers appear to have uncovered the next Fortnite crossover, with Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist Aloy next to make an appearance.

She'll be following in the footsteps of the likes of Kratos and Lara Croft in appearing in Epic's free-to-play battle royale.

Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy Headed To Fortnite According To Dataminers

There will apparently be a 'Limited Time' mode for Aloy, which will see her team up with Lara Croft. Players will also be able to upgrade their weapons by looting wildlife and technology.

That, along with the current wild theme gracing Fortnite, seems to make sense and would make Aloy a perfect fit.

Of course, Epic are yet to announce anything, so it's always worth taking these things with a pinch of salt, but it could be another cool crossover for the game.
