Fortnite Update Today (18 May) - Latest Xbox Changes Confirmed By Fortnite Status


A new Fortnite update has been released today (18 May) for all Xbox platforms.

This means that players on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One should notice a new update is available to download the next time they log on to play.

This latest patch was announced on the Fortnite Status Twitter account this afternoon along with the details on what the developers are hoping this update will fix.

The official Tweet reads:

"We have released a maintenance update on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One that improves game stability. Players will need to download this update when launching the game or after completing the current match."

The Fortnite Status Twitter account also announced this morning that they're aware of an issue regarding the Snakes & Stones Challenge Pack on Nintendo Switch.

The official Tweet reads:

"We're aware of an inconsistency in the price of the Snakes & Stones Challenge Pack on Nintendo Switch and will be adjusting this. We'll provide more info for players who purchased at the incorrect price at a later date."

For the time being though there is no fix available for this issue, which means we might see some further tweaks in the coming 24 hours.
