Where To Collect Building Materials Easily In Fortnite

Collecting building materials in Fortnite is probably the easiest thing to do. All you need to do is walk up to a particular structure and swing your pickaxe at them.

You'll start earning building materials automatically. However, what material you get will depend upon the kind of structure you're hitting.

Trees will give you wood, stones will give you bricks and metal structures will obviously give you metal.

That being said, there are a few areas that are exceptionally rich in building materials, and here are those locations.

5 locations that are rich in building materials

#1 Dirty Docks

This is by far the richest location when it comes to building materials. The entire lobby can end up harvesting this place and it'll still have materials to spare.

Dirty Docks is located to the west of the Fortnite island.

That being said, this place has adequate cover too. So you can farm for building materials in peace. No one likes being shot at while trying to complete a mission.

#2 Camp Cod

Camp Cod is another place where you can harvest building materials very easily. This is a secluded spot so not many people land here either.

Moreover, this place is off the regular track so rotating out of here is a challenge too. That being said, you could actually harvest building material in peace here. Since not many people land here, the enemy looper threat is next to zero.

#3 Compact Cars

This unmarked POI is towards the east of Dirty Docks. This place is rich in metal materials. All you need to do is start swinging your pickaxe at anything that you find here.

The red highlighted area is Compact Cars. Dummy used to spawn here.

However, since this is close to a named location, you need to be careful. Moreover, this place is open as well, so there is a chance that you may come across a lot of enemies while harvesting materials.

#4 Flushed Factory

This is another location that's quite rich in building matrial in Fortnite. That being said, Flushed Factory has some decent loot too.

Flushed Factory is the only other factory that you'll find on the island.

Just like compact cars however, you need to be careful here as well. Enemy loopers are often spotted in and around this area.

#5 Weeping Woods

This place is probably the least active place on the island after Camp Cod. The worst part about this place is that it's got too many trees. And surprisingly, that's the best part about it too.

You could actually walk into this place with no resources and walk out of here with a bag full of building materials.

Weeping Woods is located directly towards the north of Slurpy Swamp.

For one Fortnite season 7 week 8 challenge, you need to collect 750 building materials. The number is slightly steep yes, but it's worth the 30,000 XP that you'll receive after all the hard work.

Also, the mission doesn't specify any particular type of building material so you don't need to worry about that.

You can harvest building materials all over the Fortnite island, but these five locations are the ones that I would prefer when it comes to material farming.
