Where To Find Chickens In Fortnite

Chickens were introduced back in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. These flightless birds have somehow survived the alien invasion and made it into the new season.

Although you can still farm them for meat, you can't get animal parts anymore. But that doesn't make the Fortnite chicken useless. You can still use it to glide around the map. Quite ironic for a flightless bird.

Chickens can be found close to farms and grasslands. They had a high spawn rate last season, which has been reduced in this season.

That being said, you'll still find a handful of these birds roaming the island. If you're still wondering where to find chickens in Fortnite, here's a map that will help you.

Now that you know where to find these birds, all you need to do is catch them. I honestly feel that these chickens in Fortnite are on steroids because they run very fast, and catching them is a task.

Once you've caught them, all you need to do is jump off a small ledge of sorts to gain some air under you, and then use the chicken to glide you to safety.

You can also jump to greater distances while holding on to the chicken. This also counts as gliding. You don't have to travel too far though, only 20 meters will do.

Once you've made it to the stipulated distance, you'll earn 30,000 XP and end up completing another Fortnite season 7 week 3 quest.

This quest may be difficult to complete because of the reduced chicken spawns. Not only that, the current spawns occur in places that tend to be hot drops in Fortnite currently.

So plan your route out depending upon the direction of the battle bus. Also, just like your glider, you can't fire while using a chicken so watch yourself out there looper!
