Fortnite Emote Glitch: When does the bear hug emote return to the game

Fortnite is no stranger to glitches. However, one particular glitch that was introduced during the Rift Tour had a very weird glitch.

Although the Bear Hug emote isn't a bad emote, there was something severely problematic about it. Loopers noticed that the emote was rather inappropriate thanks to a glitch.

The bear hug emote glitch in Fortnite wasn't fit for a game that has a huge user base comprising of young adults.

Epic removes the Bear Hug after an emote glitch

Epic Games was quick to respond with respect to the emote. They took it down as soon as players started talking about the glitch.

Not only did they remove the bear hug emote from the Fortnite item shop, they disabled it as well. So anyone with the emote couldn't use it at all.

When it comes to the future of the emote, we're not sure if the emote will return to the Fortnite item shop or not. Epic Games is definitely working on sorting out this Fortnite emote glitch, but we do not know how long it will take.

They took to Twitter to inform the community that the Bear Hug emote will be disabled for a while now. During this period, if there was anyone who would like to have a refund, they could do so.

Although the refund mechanism in Fortnite is slightly complicated, loopers would be able to go for a token-less refund for the Fortnite bear hug emote.

As per the current information on the Fortnite status twitter handle, the token-less refund mechanism for Fortnite is now available. You needn't do anything extra. All you need to do is follow the in-game flow.

It's not often that we see emote glitches in Fortnite. However, Epic Games acted upon it promptly, so I hope the fix will be in soon as well.
