Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 New Features

Chapter 2 changed plenty about the game outside of simple map tweaks and new weapons, but Season 2 could do just as much.

While the last season gave us fishing, an entirely new map, boats and the ability to hide in bins and hay bales, Season 2 is due to implement an entirely new physics system.

The "Chaos" engine is Epic's own creation and could have a huge effect on the way Fortnite plays. Buildings will crumble and fall, meaning there's a higher level of environmental hazard to contend with.

Then there's the way it could potentially interact with last season's environmental kills – imagine blowing up a gas station with a shot, only for the entire thing to fall on a squad. Here's hoping it shakes things up.

While Chapter 2 introduced boats that let players cross the map using bodies of water, could Season 2 add helicopters?

Epic's recent teasers suggest a helipad could feature on a new location. Could that mean players can take to the skies again?

Planes were universally derided when they were added a few seasons ago, but we'd imagine Epic has learned from that experience.
