Square Enix and Luminous Productions have delayed Forspoken from its May release date to October 11, 2022. Informing fans of Forspoken’s delay via Twitter, Square Enix confirmed this project needs more time to fine-tune the experience.
Releasing a full statement, this message confirmed:
"We have made the decision to move the release date of Forspoken to October 11, 2022. Out vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important to us."

Forspoken Has Been Delayed, Now Launching in Late 2022
Continuing on, the developers advised that during the next few months, "we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game." Saying they "can't wait" for us to experience Frey's journey, they go on to thank fans for our understanding and continued support.
