How to Unlock the Gold Saucer?

First and foremost, you must reach Level 15 and complete one of these three quests, "The Gridanian Envoy," "The Ul'dahn Envoy," or "The Lominsan Envoy". Once you’re done with that, go to Ul’Dah and activate the following quest:

It Could Happen to You

Location: Ul'dah – Steps of Nald (9.6,9.0)

Giver: Well-Heeled Youth

Once you’re done with it, you will be able to travel to the Gold Saucer from any Main City via airship or by teleporting to its Aetheryte.

What is the Gold Saucer?

The Gold Saucer is an amusement park run by its owner Godbert Manderville, a master Goldsmith from Ul’dah and head of the Manderville family. This park features several games for players to enjoy, and obtain Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP) as a result of their endeavors.
This special currency can be used with several vendors in this place, in exchange for juicy prices such as Triple Triad cards, Minions, Mounts, Glamour pieces for your weapons and equipment, and much more. While some items are pretty accessible in price, some others not so much, which means that you will have to invest some time in this facility if you want the rarer ones.

List of Gold Saucer Games

Chocobo Racing

An interesting racing game that involves Chocobo breeding and leveling up, the Chocobo Racing is an instanced activity that will match you against other players and AI characters in a competition of speed, with some tricks and twists in it.

Triple Triad

The Triple Triad is a card game with its own set of rules and strategies. You need to obtain new cards by either buying them, obtaining them in events, or defeating other players across Eorzea and getting them as rewards. Obtaining all the Triple Triad cards also unlocks a free mount, so keep your eyes open if you’re a collector!

Lord of Verminion

Using your minions as playable characters, Lord of Verminion is a tower defense game where you have to defeat armies of enemy minions that will try to destroy your crystals. Every minion has its own set of stats in this game, so it’s recommended that you get as many as you can to have different options to pick.

Doman Mahjong

A special version of Mahjong inspired by the land of Doma featured in FFXIV: Stormblood, the Doman Mahjong is a fun multiplayer strategy game that can entertain you for hours!

Fashion Report

Every week you have access to the Fashion Report, a challenge that asks players to dress up in specific clothes or colors, and then present themselves to be judged and rewarded accordingly. While the instructions can be a bit vague, if you nail the looks that they’re looking for, you will get an astounding amount of MGP.

You have two versions of this game, Mini Cactpot and Jumbo Cactpot. While the first one is just a common lottery ticket, the Jumbo Cactpot is a weekly bet on four numbers you select, which can be very very lucrative, if luck is on your side.

Similar to the many FATEs that occur in the overworld, the Gold Saucer has its own GATEs, special games that will give players a good amount of MGP depending on their performance. From shooting games to platform jumping trials, the GATEs can be fun and challenging.

On top of the main games, there are also a variety of smaller mini-games of chance that, while they give less MGP as rewards, they're easy to beat, so keep an eye on them!
