Icon Swaps Set 1 has been officially released into FIFA 21 Ultimate Team at the start of the Freeze promotion, giving you a chance to earn up to 6 icons for free through gameplay objectives, as well as a whole host of other packs and rewards.

Icon Swaps Set 1 Objectives - Final 10 Tokens
Token 1: Win 6 Squad Battles Matches on min. World Class difficulty with 11 Silver players in your starting squad.Token 2: Win 6 Squad Battles Matches on min. World Class difficulty with 11 UCL players in your starting squad.Token 3: Win 6 Squad Battles Matches on min. World Class difficulty with 11 Liga NOS players in your starting squad.Token 4: Win 6 Squad Battles Matches on min. World Class difficulty with 11 French players in your starting squad.Token 5: Win 6 Squad Battles Matches on min. World Class difficulty with First Owned players in your starting squad.
Token 6: Win 18 Weekend League matches
This one is pretty simple for those that play Weekend League, you only need to win 18 matches in total over the next few weeks!
Token 7:- Win 6 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One League with at least 7 First Owned Premier League players in your starting squad.- Score in 10 separate matches using Premier League Players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League- Assist with a Through Ball in 5 separate matches using Premier League Players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League
Token 8:- Win 6 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One League with at least 7 First Owned La Liga players in your starting squad.- Score in 10 separate matches using La Liga Players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League- Assist with a Through Ball in 5 separate matches using La Liga Players in the Live FUT Friendly: One League
These 2 tokens will operate in a similar way to the previous Golden Goal system that the community had in place previously, so be sure to let your opponent get the win if they score on you first to make the grind go far quicker for everyone involved!
Token 9: Win 7 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One Nation with only English Players in your squadToken 10: Win 7 matches in the Live FUT Friendly: One Nation with only Brazilian Players in your squad
These objectives don't require first owner players however there is a 60 Game Match Limit involved, meaning you have to win 14/60 games to obtain both tokens. This may somewhat hamper the Golden Goal rule that we'd adopted previously, however if you're a competent player, you should have no difficulty getting this one done!
How To Get All Squad Battles Tokens Done In Just 12 Games
While the first 5 Icon Swaps Tokens may look like a heavy undertaking, with 30 wins needed in Squad Battles, you can cut this down to just 12 games by combining requirements! If you combine:Silver Players + French OR Liga NOS Players + First OwnerYou can complete 3 tokens worth of objectives in just 6 wins. If you then combine the remainingFrench OR Liga NOS + UCL PlayersYou then have the remaining 2 tokens from Squad Battles in just 6 more wins, cutting your time spent playing Squad Battles by 60%!
Here are some examples of some Liga NOS UCL players you can use to combine both objectives into 1 squad. While they may cost quite a lot, if you're quick and get the games done in one go, you can sell them back for roughly the same price you bought them for, minimising any potential coin losses!
Players To Use In Objectives - One League
For some of the Online Live FUT Friendlies Tokens, i.e. the Premier League and La Liga tokens, 7 First Owner players are required in your starting squad, meaning you'll have to use any pack pulled, SBC, Objective or Loan cards in your starting 11.
Loan cards are definitely cards to consider, given that friendlies don’t count towards your contract count, meaning you can use the likes of loan Mbappe and the loan OTW cards received earlier this year to improve your first owner squads.
After deciding on your 7 first owner players, you can use whatever players you like given they’re from the same league, so feel free to pad out the rest of the team with higher level superstars if you have them in your club, or you can go out and purchase some cheap beasts.
Finally, make sure to fill the bench with players from the same league, as the squad requirement for the ‘One League’ Live FUT Friendly requires 18 players from the same league.
Players To Use In Objectives - One Nation
With the One Nation Objective, there is no need for first owner players, you only need to use a team and bench of players from 1 Nation, in this case England and Brazil.
If you don't already have players in your club, you can go out and purchase a few cheap beasts for your team to make up the numbers, here are a few of our favourites.
Tips To Get Objectives Done Fast
Given that you have to win roughly 30 online games in total to make progress towards the 10 total tokens available, there are definitely some tips and tricks you can use to make the grind go faster.
The Golden Goal rule is absolutely something that you should be looking to encourage and abide by in friendly objectives to get them done faster. Change your team name to ‘Golden Goal,’ try to message your opponent to get them to co-operate, and it’ll go much faster.
The general idea here is that whenever you or the opponent goes 1-0 up, the player behind quits the game. This will make games far shorter, less sweaty, and everyone will get objectives done far quicker.
All in all, the Golden Goal rule benefits everyone realistically:
- Everyone is getting objectives done in this Live FUT Friendly, so quitting at 1-0 helps everyone get them done far quicker
- Games are far less sweaty because you’re not sat there for 90 mins slogging it out
- Contracts and records are not impacted by friendlies, meaning you can quit the game knowing you’re not being negatively impacted.
While there may be a match limit in the Icon Swaps - One Nation objective, with only 60 games available, as you only need to win 14 games, the Golden Goal rule should still apply. I found when playing my games that people still quit at 1-0 down, making the grind go far quicker!
