After an epic week 3 of FIFA 19 which saw underdogs Method step up their game and Manchester City Epsilon continue their undefeated run, it's time to check all of the final FIFA 19 results!
Envy vs exceL
Group A kicked off with a hotly anticipated matchup between the highly driven group leaders: Envy and the team with the chemistry: exceL. Game 1 was a tense affair ending in Envy’s 3rd consecutive 1-1 draw of the season. The PS4 leg was a more one-sided affair with rising star and previous week MVP, Jas, leading his duo to yet another victory.
Vitality vs Method
In the second match of the night Peter Shmeichel’s digital avatar exhibited some bizarre behaviour and slippery hands to present an easy, much-needed 4-1 win to Method in the Xbox leg. Game 2 remained largely goalless in the first half until a slick bit of finesse but the boys in orange ahead. Final whistle, maximum points to Method as a dejected Vitality squad left the stage.
Asus ROG Army vs AS Roma Fnatic
Struggling defending champs looked in tatters against a plunky Asus ROG army in game 1. Final scoreline: a devastating 5-2 to the Spanish pair. The heat was on for AS Roma Fnatic stalwarts Zimme and Damie as they took to the stage for game 2. Experience paid off, however, and the veterans kept Fnatic’s league hopes alive with a smooth 3-1 victory.
Nordavind vs Man City Epsilon
Man City Epsilon exited the tunnel with an air of confidence befitting of a team yet to drop a single game in the season so far. Whilst Nordavind’s players were understandably muted as they acknowledged their underdog status in the pre-match interviews. The games were far from the one sided goal fests expected, however, with Nordavind showing grit and nerve to take the Xbox leg to a 0-0 draw. Man City’s first of the season. The series was decided on PS4, were Epsilon was able to impose their will and take the 3 points with the victory.
