Far Cry 6's free upgrade from PS4 to PS5 seems to have some issues at the moment
Some UK fans who purchased Russian copies of Far Cry 6 while having a PlayStation Network (PSN) UK account cannot activate the free upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5 version (thanks, Destructoid).
One player, Stuart Pearson, posted a video on Twitter showing his experience of getting the free upgrade by using a separate Russian PSN account and said the issue stems how Ubisoft shipped the game.

Free Far Cry 6 Upgrade from PS4 To PS5 Isn't Working for Some
Apparently, the publisher shipped region-locked versions of Far Cry 6.
Eurogamer reports that Ubisoft told them that they are now aware of the issue and are "investigating" the report incidents about the free upgrade. Their statement reads as:
"The team is aware of reports that some players are unable to upgrade their PlayStation 4 version of Far Cry 6 to the PlayStation 5 version."
