The modders of Fallout have added a lot of wacky things to the series’ games, from a character who hunts you down until your game crashes in Fallout New Vegas to playable guitars in Fallout 4.

The latter game has seen a particularly star-studded, but also weird phenomenon arrive in it recently, with an iconic Hollywood movie star swapping Beverly Hills for The Commonwealth.

That’s right, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the star of several Fast and Furious films and Red Notice, is now in Fallout 4, but not in a place you might expect to find him.

The mod that adds in the eyebrow-raising superstar is called ‘Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson As Pip-Boy Background’ and is the sole work of modder Forgatana, who clearly wants their modding legacy to be defined by it.

From a practical perspective, the mod does exactly what it says on the tin, making an image of big Dwayne the background of your pip-boy, so you can dreamily stare into the jet black void of his aviator shades while you scroll through your junk.

If you want to get a better look, it seems as though toggling your pip boy light on will make Mr Johnson stand out a bit more, by illuminating his beautiful face.

Is that it?

Well, kind of, but just think of all of the possibilities having the support of such a titan of action films and wrestling will have on your in-game exploits.

Perhaps next time you visit Diamond City, you’ll find yourself wooing all of the ladies with your massive guns, beating up anyone who challenges you and cutting sassy promos on the guards when they tell you to knock it off.

If your pip-boy tastes are a little less boulder oriented, maybe one of the many other mods that switch up the device’s details will be more up your alley.

For instance, modder doctrderp’s ‘Star Wars TIE Fighter Pip-Boy (4K Pipboy)’ can bring a splash of a galaxy far far away to your playthrough, as you can see in the video below:

Or, if you fancy a little bit more colour, modder JoeTrocious’ ‘Tron-Boy All Variants’ brings a bit of neon to the dreary hues of the wasteland.

So, don your pip-boy of choice, grab your pipe pistol and make sure to follow us for coverage of the wacky worlds of Skyrim and Elden Ring modding.
