To celebrate the release of Mega Ampharos, Pokemon Go will have a Mareep Incense Day!
Here’s everything we know about the event’s release date and available Pokemon.
Event Time And Schedule
The Incense Day Event will take place on Sunday, January 24, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time.
The Pokemon available will rotate between Electric and Dragon on the following schedule:
Electric-types
- 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Dragon Types
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
- 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Event Details
During the event, Mareep will spawn much more frequently, and its shiny form will be much more common too!
Check out Mega Ampharos in its regular and shiny forms!
Evolve a Mareep into a Flaffy and that Flaffy into an Amapharos! During the event Ampharos obtained through evolution will know Dragon Pulse.
Mega Ampharos is a powerful Electric and Dragon-type, so knowing the Dragon Pulse attack will be vital for it to take advantage of that dual-typing!
The event will apparently also feature many Electric and Dragon-type Pokemon including:
- Pikachu
- Mareep
- Plusle
- Minun
- Stunfisk
- Horsea
- Dratini
- Swablu
- Bagon
On the day Trainers will also be able to obtain three incense for just 1 Pokecoin, so be sure to log in just for that.
