Gears 5 launched back in 2019, but it's constantly being updated with new Operations.

Now, the developers appear to be committed to the game for a while longer as they have confirmed more content coming soon.

This will add to the ample amount of content already present in Gears 5.

With the release of next-generation consoles in less than a few weeks, some players are about to experience the game for the first time.

So, it seems like no better time to add some DLC.

Let's take a look!

In an interview with IGN, The Coalition who are the developers behind GTA 5 have noted that some sort of Story-based DLC will be releasing before the year ends.

They noted the following in the interview:

"All I can say is December and the title is Hivebusters, so it might give you a little hint as to what that content might contain," said Zoe Curnoe, Gears 5 principal lead producer. "That'll be available on the new consoles as well, so it'll be optimized for those two."

Release Date

The Coalition has confirmed that the DLC will be releasing in December 2020.

A more specific date is unknown as of now, but we are sure we will get further details as the month draws closer.

There was no direct comment on the price of the DLC.

IGN noted that Curnoe stated more details regarding the DLC will come within the first weeks of December!

For those who do not know, Hivebusters was a team of three that had their own game mode within Gears 5 called Escape.

They did not appear in the main campaign, so it is basically confirmed they will have a major role within the DLC!

As of now, we do not have any leaks regarding the Hivebusters DLC!
