Fortnite has had a bunch of map designs since the very first days back in Chapter 1 Season 1.
Let’s go through them all so you can see what all the old maps looked like!
This first map went through a bunch of changes.
If you want to check out a simplified version for yourself here which was created by Team Kraxy:
The original Fortnite Map! Look it at it, it seems so bland and boring now...
Season 2 brought the map to life, adding more POIs and colour to the Fortnite Map!
Season 3 didn't change much, but we did get Lucky Landing, a classic Chapter 1 location!
Dusty Depot got destroyed and replaced with Dusty Divot! Many a meme was spawned from players trying to rebuild the POI.
Season 5 really mixed things up. Rifts opened up and a bunch of new POIs spawned, including a desert which replaced Moisty Mire!
Loot Lake opened up in Season 6, exposing the Zero Point hiding spot, and players were treated to a Floating island!
Season 7 brought the cold, adding a massive snowy tundra to the South West quarter of the Fortnite Map!
Things heated up in Season 8, with a Volcano sprouting up.
In Season 9 the world went to the future! Tilted Towers and Retail Row got futuristic updates!
Season X was absolutely wild, with Gotham City, a swampy desert and a massive amount of changing POIs releasing!
Chapter 2 brought a whole new map, so everything was new in Season 1!
Season 2 brought a whole host of new additions to the Fortnite Map, including five new Secret Agent Hideouts!
Season 3 had quite a few versions, as so much was covered in water, and eventually was uncovered again!
The Season 4 Map was Marvel-ous! We got loads of Marvel POIs including Doom's Domain and Stark Industries.
Finally, we're at Season 5, the current Fortnite Map!
