Dragon Quest Builders 2 Comes To Xbox, PC and Game Pass on May 4

Good news, fans of Dragon Quest and, uh, building. Dragon Quest Builders 2 has been confirmed to be coming to Xbox and PC on May 4.

It's happened a few times lately where Microsoft has jumped the gun on official Square Enix announcements. Following Octopath Traveler's surprise Xbox One launch back in March, an early listing has now confirmed Dragon Quest Builders 2 is arriving on May 4th too.

Originally launched in 2019, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is an action role-playing with sandbox elements comparable to Minecraft. Focused around a group called the Children of Hargon, this takes place after Dragon Quest II, and this group seek revenge after Hargon and Malroth's defeat by eliminating all builders.

Microsoft Store Confirms Dragon Quest Builders 2's Arrival On Xbox Next Month

Having previously arrived on Steam, Switch and PlayStation 4 to positive reviews, it's now launching on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows. Listed for $49.99, the Microsoft Store also reveal Dragon Quest Builders 2 is immediately launching on both Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass for PC.

It adds to an increasing Square Enix presence on Microsoft's subscription service, following on from Outriders earlier this month. Joining heavy-hitters like Dragon Quest XI, Nier Automata, Kingdom Hearts, and numerous Final Fantasy entries, we're looking forward to giving this a try.
