Day 1 of The International 10 regional qualifiers for Western Europe has already begun. And six matches comprised of the 12 out of 14 teams in the tournament kicked off the first day with a bang, with their placements now being determined going to day 2.
Team Nigma vs Hellbear Smashers
Match number 1 saw two of the most popular Western European teams competing in the upper bracket round 1 where Team Nigma faced off Hellbear Smashers which went down to the wire.
Game 1 belonged to Hellbear Smashers after they displayed total dominance over the other team. But Team Nigma managed to pull off a comeback and a reverse sweep when they won games 2 and 3 to advance in the upper bracket round 2. Hellbear Smashers will now go down to the lower bracket.
Chicken Fighters vs No Bounty Hunter
Simultaneously, Chicken Fighters vs No Bounty Hunter in the lower bracket round 1 also took place alongside the first match of day 1, and it the former who emerged victorious in just two games. Chicken Fighters will go on to face the loser of Vikin.gg vs OG in the lower bracket round 2, while No Bounty Hunter will be the first team to be eliminated from the competition.
OG vs Vikin.gg
Another upper bracket matchup featured fan favorites OG vs Vikin.gg which resulted in a three-game series favoring the side of the former in the end.
Vikin.gg notched the win in game 1. However, OG turned the tables and won games 2 and 3 to send Vikin.gg down the lower bracket. OG will now face old-time rivals Team Nigma in the upper bracket round 2, while Vikin.gg has to fight for their lives in the lower bracket round 2 against Chicken Fighters.
Into The Breach vs Hippomaniacs
The fourth match of the day was between Into The Breach vs Hippomaniacs, with the former easily taking down the latter, closing out the series 2-0. Into The Breach will advance in the lower bracket round 2. Hippomaniacs on the other hand will have to say goodbye to the tournament.
Tundra Esports vs Brame
Tundra Esports outlasted Brame in a 2-0 series win to secure their upper bracket round 2 spot where they will face the winner of Team Liquid vs Spider Pigzs. Brame will go down the lower bracket to face Into The Breach in the bracket’s second round.
Team Liquid vs Spider Pigzs
The final match of day 1 was another three-game contest between Team Liquid vs Spider Pigzs. But in the end, it was Team Liquid who closed out the first day of TI10 Western Europe qualifiers with the overall series victory.
Just like the other three-game series on day 1, it was the overall losing team who won game 1, and this time it was Spider Pigzs. Team Liquid won games 2 and 3 the same way Team Nigma and OG pulled off a reverse sweep, and they will now face the only 2-0 team in the upper bracket so far in the form of Tundra Esports. Spider Pigzs will face Team Bald Reborn in the lower bracket round 2.

It will now be Team Nigma vs OG and Tundra Esports in the upper bracket round 2.
In the lower bracket, it will be Hellbear Smashers vs Ghost Frogs, Vikin.gg vs Chicken Fighters, Brame vs Into The Breach, and Spider Pigzs vs Team Bald Reborn.
