Na’Vi is one of the most popular teams in the DOTA 2 esports pro scene. But their roster for the upcoming The International 10 (TI10) might see a different direction after they announced that changes will happen to their team.
Na’Vi Letting Go of Iceberg; Mag Takes Coaching Role
As announced by Na’Vi COO Aleksey “xaoc” Kucherov on Na’Vi’s official Twitter account, the team will be letting go of one of their key players, namely Bohdan “Iceberg” Vasylenko. Iceberg was instrumental in the team’s success during the 4th season of the OGA DOTA PIT for Europe just last December 2020.
Another Na’Vi player, on the other hand, Andrey “Mag” Chipenko, will be doing a different role instead. He will be the team’s head coach for TI10 and won’t see actual playing time.
SoNNeikO Is Back in Na’Vi; Another New Player Incoming
But even the two players mentioned won’t join Na’Vi as playing stalwarts for TI10 anymore, the team welcomed back one familiar face to their roster.
Akbar “SonNeikO” Buatev will be making his return to help Na’Vi qualify for TI10. He was a part of the team’s run from 2015 to 2019, but left Na’Vi and went on to play for AS Monaco Gambit.
Na’Vi also got the services of Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko who also came from AS Monaco Gambit alongside SonNeikO.
