Does Diablo 2: Resurrected Support Cross-Play and Cross-Progression?

Diablo 2: Resurrected is looking like the remaster we've wanted for years, with the very pretty graphics immediately winning long-time fans over, while the gameplay looks like classic Diablo.

The fact that Diablo 3 is still getting a ton of support is somewhat surprising with this remaster coming out but we doubt Diablo 2: Resurrected fans are complaining since it’s coming to every major gaming system out there, including the Nintendo Switch.

Does Diablo 2: Resurrected Support Cross-Play and Cross-Progression?

Since Diablo 2: Resurrected is coming to so many systems, this has led to a lot of fans asking if there will be some form of cross-play multiplayer or cross-platform progression.

The devs have stated that there won’t be any cross-play multiplayer, which is disappointing, but there will be a cross-save feature for cross-platform progression, which is pretty great.

Fans who want to switch between PC and, well, the Switch will be able to do so without losing any progress and that’s something we can all appreciate.

We’re sure some fans are probably annoyed that there won’t be any cross-play multiplayer, as the people in Activision have said it would be too complicated due to different UIs and systems in play.

Activision did add cross-play to games like Overwatch but anyone who plays the Switch version knows that was a bad move so this might be the best option, even though Diablo 2: Resurrected has more co-op in it than PVE.

Diablo 2: Resurrected is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 23.
