Diablo 2: Resurrected Ladder Will Added "Shorty After Launch"

With the Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta set for this weekend, and the full launch not long after, Blizzard has clarified one of the main questions players had about the game; when the ladder will be implemented?

Blizzard confirmed the ranked ladder will arrive "shortly after launch" in a blue post today, in an attempt to increase server stability on launch.

This will give all players a fair chance once the game has settled down, and reduce deaths to server issues.

Blizzard will communicate a specific launch timeframe closer to the launch window during September.

Blizzard also announced that Ladder Only Rune Words, Unique Items, and Horadric Cube Recipes will be available outside of ladder play and obtainable by characters in non-ladder multiplayer and single player.

This is a quality of life change that was not part of the original game however, it gives more casual players a chance to experience the meta builds without having to take part in ladder play.

Single-player will also have access to the Pandemonium event and Uber Diablo content.

There will be appropriate communication closer to the launch of ladder play to ensure players are able to prepare for their race to max level.

Diablo 2: Resurrected will launch on September 23, and is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch.
